Archimedes Principle

Subject: General Physics
An object experiences an upward force called buoyant force when immersed in a fluid. This upward force opposes the weight of the object, resulting in a decrease of its weight. Archimedes’ principle states that when an object is partially or fully immersed in a liquid, it experiences an upward thrust (buoyant force) which is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the immersed part of the object.
